A very useful combination is a calendar with month and year menus.
The following is a calendar that opens to the current month and year but can be reset with the menu form

The form functions requires 2 parameters, month and year. For example calendar_form(6,2009). The parrameters will be selected on the menus;
The following code snippet calls the form with the current month and year or the posted menu values and then passes the values to the calendar function
